So, the antlers fell off...

Some weird guy wanted them as a mantle piece and he paid me a good amount for them, so there's that.

Anyway...do, um, things like that happen around here a lot? Because more than a few of you seemed...used to it. I...don't know if I could take another something like that...at all.

I guess now I have to finish training for the gym. Piers'll get mad if I don't and I really don't have a reason to put it off anymore....

...Not here. We've had girls who were crushed by Onix and woke up safely at the nearest Pokémon Center, years ago. That's the worst that can happen to us.

It can be difficult to accept, I know. Few of those who were present at the time remain, to confirm or deny the rumors.

My apologies. I sometimes forget that newer arrivals may still have standards, when it comes to expected events.

Wait, are you saying you have no standards?

They've been... greatly lowered. These days, acceptance comes easily no matter what the world throws at me.
